"Almost a third of people who haven’t had a sight test for the last two years cite the fact they ‘don’t think it’s necessary’ with 50% claiming they haven’t visited an optometrist because ‘I haven’t experienced any problems with my eyes,’ research has found," according to an OptometryToday post. "Public attitudes were studied as part of a report released this week by the College of Optometrists, based on a survey commissioned by the body and undertaken by independent research company FreshMinds, which took in the views of 4,004 UK adults aged below 60."
