Retailer Starts Campaign for Readers in NYC

Park Slope-based MoralEyes, a wholesaler and retailer of reading glasses and sunglasses, announced today a city-wide used-glasses recycling program to be launched the weekend of August 13th & 14th. Inspired by Blake Mycoskie of TOMS shoes, MoralEyes donates a pair of reading glasses to their non-profit partner New Eyes for the Needy for every pair sold. To date, MoralEyes has donated over 7,500 pairs -- with a retail value of over $150,000 -- and with the launch of their used-glasses recycling program, the company hopes to expand their contribution exponentially.
