Eye Care for Indigenous

TheAustralian reports "among those waiting to have their eyes tested at Broome's packed Aboriginal medical clinic each morning are many who think their sight is fine, but who have diabetes. The rates of the disease in the Kimberley, in far north-west Australia, are staggering, with a third of Aboriginal people in the region believed to suffer from it. Those with diabetes will be quietly stalked throughout their lives by one of the more insidious by-products of their illness: blindness." Read more.
