ADS and Its Sunglasses for Golfers and Fisherman

ADS Sports Eyewear recently began a pr campaign about its sunglasses for golfers and sunglasses for fisherman. Read the descriptions. Aren't they the same lenses just described having differcent functions? That's effective marketing—matching the benefits of your products with the needs of the individual customer, a point frequently missed in the optical business.
Prescription Fishing Sunglasses are now available from ADS Sports Eyewear with a lens designed to focus on the specific needs of a fisherman. A large portion of the progressive corridor is designed for near-distance viewing. This is a stark contrast to a traditional progressive lens that has a focal distance that gets progressively closer as you look lower in the lens. Designing more of the lens to focus on the specific needs of fishermen allows the fisherman to move their head normally while keeping near objects in focus.
Prescription Golf Sunglasses are now available from ADS Sports Eyewear with a lens designed to focus on the specific needs of a golfer. A large portion of the progressive corridor is designed for mid-distance viewing so that the ball is in focus at the golfers feet. A standard progressive lens has a very tiny section of the lens designed to focus at this distance. This new design allows golfers to position their head naturally, and move comfortably while maintaining perfect focus and depth perception.
Lenses for the golf and fishing sunglasses reportedly are designed using free-form digital lens technology that can recalculate the curve of a lens at every point the lens. Read more about the glass sunglasses. Read more about the fishing sunglasses.
