Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Gets Patent for Stabilized Contact Lens
"Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Jacksonville, Fla., has been assigned a patent (8,322,851) developed by Pierre Gerligand, St. Johns, Fla., for stabilized contact lenses," reports Equities.com. "The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: 'Contact lenses with stabilization zones are designed using mathematical constructs such as Bezier curves and which are subjected to modeling on-eye performance.' "The patent application was filed on Dec. 17, 2009 (12/641,144).
