G-Rap--The Latest Eyewear Accessory

“Tyler Essenberg has long considered himself an 'idea man,'” starts the Mlive post. “ When he was 6, he told his mother about a gadget that would enable a telephone user to talk without holding a phone. A headset, his mother told him, already existed. But that didn’t deter Essenberg....Now, after years of ideas, one of Essenberg’s inventions is on the verge of making it onto store shelves. G-raps, a flexible band that attaches to most eyewear and displays a logo or personalized message, are expected to be available later this week at Davenport University’s bookstore, followed by a handful of optometry shops next week, Essenberg said....A pair of g-raps, which are made of a silicone-like material and roll onto glasses, cost $5.99. As of now, they’re available in four designs: pink, with the word 'Believe,' in honor of breast cancer awareness; white, with the antlers of a buck; blue, with the Christian fish logo; and colors associated with various colleges.” Read more.
