Tura Relaunches Its Brand

The 75-year-old Tura Inc. is re-launching its brand. It's “releasing new eyewear styles and marketing materials that incorporate its American design sensibility, with handcrafted details and heritage of innovation,” reports Midwest Lens. “Tura was founded in 1938 as 'The House of Levoy,' a dispensary on Madison Avenue in New York City. Company founder Monroe Levoy believed that eyewear was just one element of a fashion wardrobe. Tura promoted the concept of 'wardrobing' eyewear to match color schemes in clothing, and thus the modern concept of fashion eyewear was born. The re-mastered Tura Brand includes 45 optical and sun frames (acetate and metal) for women and men with multiple color variations.” Read more.
