B+L Comments about Drop Recall in UK

Bausch + Lomb comments about its recent recall in the United Kingdom of its Minims Eye Drops Solution:
There have been a number of news reports regarding Bausch + Lomb’s recent voluntary recall of a single lot of proxymetacaine 0.5% Minims Eye Drops Solution in the United Kingdom. There have been no reports of any adverse events, and we are working closely with the MHRA on the matter.  We take patient safety very seriously and initiated a voluntary recall of this single lot of product on December 10, 2012.Importantly, this issue relates to a single lot of a prescription eye drop that is mainly used in hospitals in the United Kingdom.  This issue does not impact any other Bausch + Lomb products in any part of the world. Customers who have additional questions should contact Bausch + Lomb Customer Services in Kingston, U.K. at: +44 208 781 2991.
