FDA Moves In to Minimize the Impact of TASS

"Toxic Anterior Segment Syndrome (TASS) is a rare condition that can occur after cataract surgery," reports Medical News Today. "The U.S. Food and Drug Administration in collaboration with other Government agencies, unveiled a program today to monitor medical devices used in cataract surgery in an effort to stem outbreaks of the rare, inflammatory condition."
