100K Texas Children Fail Eye Exam

The Houston Chronicle reports that "around 100,000 students in Texas failed vision screenings at school but had not seen an eye doctor by the end of last year. According to a report issued last week by the Texas Department of Health, 85 to 90 percent of those students need prescription eyeglasses. If children cannot see well, they are less likely to succeed." Read more.
