New AREDS2 Supplement form B+L

Bausch + Lomb will introduce its new PreserVision AREDS2 formula eye vitamin and mineral supplement tomorrow at the 2013 American Society of Retina Specailists (ASRS) annual meeting in Toronto. It reportedly is the only commercially-available supplement in the United States that exactly matches the updated formula based on the latest clinical evidence from the National Eye Institute (NEI) Age-Related Eye Disease Study 2 (AREDS2).  A daily dose (two soft gels) provides  500 mg of vitamin C, 400 IU of vitamin E, 10 mg of lutein, two mg of zeaxanthin, 80 mg of zinc (zinc oxide), and two mg of copper (cupric oxide).
