Glare, the Enemy of Light-Eyed Baseball Players

"During the third inning of a March 17 spring training game, Chicago White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez hit a soft fly ball to left field. Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Mark Kotsay had his sunglasses on, as he always does, but as he ran in toward the ball it disappeared into the glare of the harsh Arizona sun," so starts the NYTimes post. "Even sunglasses don't always help players like Phillies second baseman Chase Utley when they look up on a sunny day.The Yankees' Brett Gardner says he uses 'probably about 50 different lenses' over his blue eyes during most day games....roughly 16 percent of Americans with light-colored eyes" are affected by glare, experts say.
