Thieves Heist $100K from Florida Optical Shop

"Naples Police are trying to find those responsible for swiping $100,000 worth of designer glasses this week," according to the CBS News affiliate WINK. "Naples Optical, located on U.S. 41, was ransacked Tuesday night. helves of high end glasses were completely wiped out. 'We have a lot of name brands.  We carry things like Chanel and Fendi and Gucci that are very well known and obviously you become a target for people who want to sell those brands on the black market,' store manager Rick Rudinz said. Rudinz said the store was hit during this time two years ago. Since then, they've installed an alarm and surveillance system.
According to reports, the alarm system was disabled. 'This tends to be a circle where they hit us at certain times and it's not just us, it's other opticals in the area that have been hit over the years so we were aware that this is a possiblity.'" Read more.
