Recently, Essilor completed acquisition of Coastal.com. During the past year, it has acquired at least a stake in the following organizations: Transitions Optical, the lab Katz & Klein, the wholesaler VIP Optical, sunglass producer Costa, sunglass manufacturer Xiamen Yarui Optical Company, R.D. Cherry, Plunkett Optical, and Frame Displays. It has set up partnerships with Jiangsu Youli Optics Spectacles, Riverside Optical, Benson Edwards Optical Lab, and CPS 360 Optical Lab. That’s not including its deal with Comprol and its move into managed care.
