Coastal.com reached $1 billion in eyewear sales on April 30,
2012. Since its founding, Coastal.com has sold over 1 million pair of eyeglasses.
The company carries more than 1000 styles—ranging from designer brands to
private label—and owns and operates a
lab. Last year, Coastal.com shipped 2.2 million orders
and rolled out its "First Pair Free" business model in the U.S., offering a no-risk challenge
to new customers.
