Canadian Bill to Regulate Cosmetic CLs

"Cosmetic contact lenses need to be regulated to protect consumers from causing damage to their eyes, a Conservative MP says in a new private member's bill," reprots Canada.com. "Ontario MP Pat Davidson's bill, introduced in the House of Commons this week "to close regulatory loopholes for unsafe non-corrective cosmetic contact lenses," is expected to be debated later this month. The act to amend Canada's Food and Drugs Act proposes to bring non-correction cosmetic contact lenses under the same regulatory framework as prescribed, corrective contact lenses." Read more.
