New Indian Eye-Care Program to Serve 131 Million

"As part of its first anniversary celebrations on Sunday, India Vision Institute (IVI) launched 'Aksauhini', a strategic eye-care plan for around 131 million people of India," writes the Times of India. "Accordingly, the programme will assist in gathering the required human resource to address the issues of visually impaired individuals who largely reside in rural India. It will also help in setting out a road map to fill the gaps in vision care in the country."  Read more.
