ADS Sports' Ski Goggles Go Digital

ADS Sports Eyewear will be using a new digital prescription lens design this ski season to improve vision for skiers who wear prescription. Digital technology recalculates the correction at every point on the lens to create a much larger area of perfect vision without the “fishbowl effect” traditionally associated with putting prescription lenses in a curved frame. Inventor of Ski Goggle Dies at 78

"Bob Smith, an orthodontist whose gnarly obsession with skiing through chest-deep powder compelled him to invent a revolutionary fog-resistant ski goggle and found the eyewear industry behemoth Smith Optics, died April 18 at his home in La Quinta, Calif.
