Diopsys, Inc., plans to launch an office-based pattern electroretinography
(PERG) test for use by eye care professionals, called
Nova-PERG vision test. Currently, PERG vision
testing is conducted in hospitals and research facilities as a
specialized test with results that require interpretation by highly
trained doctors. The company has developed what it describes as an easy-to-use, patient friendly
PERG test that gives eye care specialists immediate results in
easy-to-read reports.
