It’s a matter of personal freedom so don’t tell me what to do. That’s the argument of Arizona’s House Health Committee which is considering a bill that would allow contact lens prescriptions to be valid for two years, notes the
Verde Independent. Rep. Heather Carter says there’s no medical reason for the restriction—although she’s not a health-care professional. The
Independent noted that she “sniffed” at the health-care reasons for the one-year prescription when Annette Hanian, OD, testified.
