"The U.S. Attorney's Office has filed a lawsuit against a Somerset [Kentucky] eye
doctor and his practice, claiming he defrauded Medicare and Medicaid," reports
WKYT. "The lawsuit claims...[Optometrist] Philip Robinson and 'Associates in
Eye Care P.S.C.' sought and received payment from the two programs for
unnecessary eye exams and services he didn't provide. The lawsuit says Robinson visited nursing homes and claimed
he treated more than 100 patients in a single day. However, the lawsuit
claims that isn't possible."
